Novak Djokovic defeated Casper Ruud in straight sets to win his third French Open title and clinch a record-extending 23rd Grand Slam championship.
Djokovic, who was playing in his 32nd Grand Slam final, won 6-3, 6-3, 6-0 in two hours and 15 minutes. The victory also gave Djokovic a record-extending 20th Grand Slam title in the Open Era.
Djokovic started the match strongly, breaking Ruud's serve in the first game of the match. He then held serve to take a 2-0 lead.
