"German Broadcaster Takes a Stand Against Sexist Abuse Targeting Female UCL Analyst"

German broadcaster ZDF has condemned the sexist abuse directed at Claudia Neumann, who became the country's first woman to commentate on the men's UEFA Champions League.

Neumann, who has been a sports journalist for over 20 years, was subjected to a torrent of abuse on social media after she commentated on the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Some of the abuse included comments about her appearance, her voice, and her knowledge of football.

In a statement, ZDF said that it "strongly condemns the sexist abuse" of Neumann.

"Claudia Neumann is a highly respected and experienced sports journalist," the statement said. "She is a valuable member of our team and we are proud to have her as a commentator."

ZDF said that it would be reporting the abuse to the police.

Neumann has also spoken out about the abuse, saying that it is "unacceptable" and that she will not be silenced.

"I am a professional and I am good at my job," she said. "I will not let this abuse stop me from doing what I love."

The abuse of Neumann is just the latest example of the sexist abuse that female sports journalists face.

In recent years, there have been numerous cases of female sports journalists being subjected to online abuse, including threats of violence and rape.

This abuse is unacceptable and it needs to stop.

Female sports journalists deserve to be treated with respect, just like their male counterparts.

We need to do more to create a safe and inclusive environment for female sports journalists, so that they can do their jobs without fear of abuse.
