"Ajinkya Rahane Expresses Frustration with Disappointing 46-run Dismissal in Challenging Chase"

India's vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane was disappointed with his dismissal on 46 on the fifth day of the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

Rahane, who was batting on 46 off 94 balls, was caught behind by wicketkeeper BJ Watling off the bowling of Trent Boult. The dismissal came at a crucial juncture in the match, with India on 155 for 4 in their second innings, chasing a target of 296 runs.

Speaking after the match, Rahane said that he was disappointed with his dismissal, but that he was proud of the way India fought in the match.

"I am disappointed with my dismissal, but I am proud of the way we fought in the match," Rahane said. "We did not give up and we kept fighting till the end. We were in the game till the last over, but unfortunately, we couldn't get over the line."

Rahane also praised the New Zealand bowlers, saying that they bowled well throughout the match.

"New Zealand bowled well throughout the match," Rahane said. "They were disciplined and they kept us under pressure. We just couldn't find a way to score runs against them."

With the loss, India missed out on the opportunity to win their first WTC title. However, Rahane said that India will learn from the experience and come back stronger in the future.

"We will learn from this experience and come back stronger in the future," Rahane said. "We have a young team and we are still evolving. We will keep working hard and we will be back."

India's next Test match will be against England in August.
